On March 27-30, Dr. Thom Caraway and Dr. Jake Andrews took students involved in Rock & Sling to AWP in Portland, Oregon.
“AWP provides community, opportunities, ideas, news, and advocacy for writers and teachers of writing.”
Students in the English department get to work as acquisition editorial assistants through the Editing & Publishing minor. These students work directly with professors to accept and edit writing of all genres. A few of these students spent their last weekend of Spring Break exploring the literary world through AWP.
